Hello everyone!
Plans are well underway for the Spring Fling at Sandown Park.
To make this a successful and enjoyable rally, we need some input from those who plan to attend.
On Friday afternoon we are planning a Scavenger Hunt to get everyone re-acquainted. Please let us know something unique about you or your Motor Coach – with this information we will be able to make up clues for those who take part in the Scavenger Hunt! Be sure to keep your information confidential – don’t tell anyone else (except us)!!
Happy Hour this time will be a bit different – we are asking everyone to bring their own beverage but on Friday, the first part of the alphabet will bring appies/munchies, and on Saturday, the 2nd part of the alphabet will do likewise. We’ll give you a final breakdown closer to the date of the Rally, once all the reservations are in.
Also on Friday evening, we are planning a Pot Luck dinner and we will let you know the breakdown (i.e. Main Dish, Salads, Desserts) at a later date. We will provide Buns, butter, coffee and tea.
On Saturday, our guest speaker will be Dan Hope, a RV Technician at Triangle RV. Please let us know of any topics you would like Dan to talk about, any problems you’ve had with your coach, repairs, maintenance, etc. We would appreciate receiving your questions before the Rally so that Dan has time to prepare.
For the Ladies, as there are some lovely shops in Sidney, a shopping expedition and Poker Walk are planned. More details to come!!
Also there are some museums close by if anyone is interested (Sidney Historical Museum, or the BC Aviation Museum).
As well, we will have the usual games in the field: Swing Golf, Bean Bag Toss, etc.
Saturday Dinner will be provided: Roast Beef (done to a turn on the spit), Ham, Salads, Desserts, Buns, Coffee and Tea.
We are planning a THEME for Saturday night: The 50’s & 60’s so dress accordingly. Prizes will be given to the “Best Dressed”. If you have a picture or two from that era, be sure to bring it along, to be posted on our Bulletin Board – see how many people you can recognize now! In the evening, games can be played or you can enjoy (and dance) to the music of the 50’s & 60’s.
After breakfast on Sunday there will be a Swap and Shop so bring your goodies. The Final Cleanup will take place and then we’re on our way home!
