Sandys’ Scribbles May Edition

Hello everyone! The Luxton Rally is almost here! I am soooo excited, can’t wait to see you all! 36 coaches registered so far! Just a quick reminder, May 21st is the cut-off date for Luxton. If your cheque won’t be there in time, make sure you email Norah and Norm right away. andallas@shaw.ca Also, we are to be out of the Fairgrounds at noon on Sunday, so please make alternate arrangements if you need to hang around.

The details of the next rally, at Buttle Lake follow this posting (below). Lynda and Bryan Bowden and I believe Barb and Randy Cooper will be hosting. This rally will be during the week, June 14, 15, and 16th. We will have the use of the Group Site and the amenities that go with it. I am really excited about this one as well! I heard whispers of more surprises waiting for us!

I would like to remind everyone at this time about Generators. Several of our General Meetings have wasted a lot of time trying to make rules about when and how long Generators should run.
The Chapter President is to monitor Generator users and speak to them if necessary. My opinion is that running a Generator for 2-3 hours between 8 AM and 6 PM to recharge batteries is just fine. If you have refrigerator problems or want to watch TV after 6 PM, my suggestion is that you should only attend rallies with electrical hook-ups or be prepared to compensate your neighbours.

Just can’t wait to see you all!

BUTTLE LAKE RALLY

BUTTLE LAKE RALLY
JUNE 14 - JUNE 17, 2010

We are back to nature, wonderful surroundings, lake to fish and boat in and spectacular views on all sides. Amenities at the park include covered eating area, tables, cookstove, and there are water and pit toilets available.

There are limited facilities available, so we won’t be serving all meals. Coffee will be on each morning for all the early birds, then breakfast on your own. Lunches also on your own. Dinners are provided.

Possible side trips: Gold River, tour the local area, or just relax. Also I understand there is a boat trip (similar to the Lady Rose from Port Alberni) to the west coast, which leaves from Gold River.
