Comox Rally Details

COMOX VALLEY RALLY

JULY 16 – 18, 2008

DIRECTIONS: Take Exit 117 off Hwy 19 to Courtenay/Comox. Turn Left on Cliffe Ave. (19A). Stay in the right lane for the 17th St. Bridge. Across the bridge, turn left (from either lane) on 19A. As you are passing Super Store, you will turn right at the light, onto Ryan Rd. Continue on Ryan Rd. up the hill and on toward the Air Force Base. Just before the entrance to the Air Force Base, turn left on Little River Rd. than right on Kilmorley Rd. (at the sign for the Griffin Pub). Go left at the fork in the road and right at the bottom of the hill, into Kin Beach Provincial Park. Follow the FMCA SIGNS.

Please DO NOT arrive before 12:00 noon on the 16th. Space may be limited for “toads” but we will need them for transportation on Thursday.

Wednesday, July 16th
12:00 noon – 3:00 p.m. Arrival Time. WELCOME!!!!
Pick up Info. Package from Barb and Lee
3:00 p.m. Beachcombing, settle in, get acquainted again, visit.
4:00 p.m. Happy Hour - If your last name begins with A – H please bring “Appies”. BYOB.
5:30 p.m. Seafood Chowder by Chef Mick!! With meats, buns, dessert, coffee & tea!
Evening – Visiting, cards, games, etc.

Thursday, July 17th GOOD MORNING!!
7:30 a.m. Coffee is on!
8:30 a.m. Breakfast – Pancakes, Sausages, Fruit, Juice.
11:30 a.m. Your choice of Guided Tours:

Filberg Park, Comox. Luncheon at Tea House (menu and prices provided), then a tour of the Filberg Lodge and Grounds. OR

Air Force Museum, guided tour of Museum and Spitfire Aircraft. Lunch at Griffin Pub.

4:00 p.m. Happy Hour – If your last name begins with I – Z, please bring “Appies”. BYOB
5:30 p.m Pot Luck Supper - A – H please bring Salads/Veggies, I – Z please bring Main Meals. Dessert will be provided.
After dinner, answers to “Do you know BC?”
Evening – Cards, games and (hopefully) a BON FIRE!

Friday, July 18th
7:30 a.m. Coffee is On! - One Pot
8:30 a.m. Breakfast – Fruit, Muffins, Bagels, Yogurt, Juice
- Book Exchange right after Breakfast
9:30 a.m. Clean Up and Tear Down
11:30 a.m. Leave the area.

Note: There is a Sani Dump behind Canadian Tire, in Courtenay (Bottom of Ryan Rd.) or the Husky Station on Cliffe Ave., on the left, leaving town ($5.00). Also, one in Nanaimo at Woodgrove Centre (Petro Can).

Remember to wear your name badge at all times or the Sheriff will fine you!

Dogs are most welcome but must have their owners in tow and droppings must be picked up. Remember dogs are NOT permitted in the food area at any time.
