August 25 - 28th at the Cowichan Exhibition Grounds in Duncan.
Menu:
Monday, August 25th
Dinner: Pot Luck - the club will provide meat
Tuesday, August 26th
Breakfast: French Toast, Sausages, Fruit
Dinner: Hamburgers, Pie and Ice Cream
Wednesday, August 27th
Breakfast: Ham, Scrambled Eggs, Hash Browns, Fruit
Dinner: Pizza and Ice Cream Sundaes
Thursday, August 28th
Breakfast: Continental (pastries, fruit, yogurt)
On Monday evening, we will be playing Bingo, or cards, crib.
On Tuesday, we are asking people to dress up in their finest 50's/60's attire and there will be a prize for the best dressed!
Also, in keeping with the theme, we will be playing " Lets Make A Deal" after dinner. We will be asking everyone to bring two items PER COACH - one a really silly gift, the other can be something nice that you are tired of dusting or don't use any more! Everyone that plays will go home with a Treasure!
We will also be playing "Guess Who" - please bring a photograph of yourself taken in the 50's or 60's so that people can try to guess who it is!
On Wednesday evening, again there will be cards for anyone interested in playing a game or two.
During the day, there are many activities in the surrounding areas. To name a few:
BC Forest Discovery Centre - we can get a discount on admission if 10 or more people attend.
Pacific Northwest Raptor Centre - daily flying demonstrations at 1:30 and 3:30
Totem Tours in Downtown Duncan
On Tuesday there is the Ladysmith Farmer's Market at Transfer Beach 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
On Wednesday there is the Chemainus Farmer's Market at Waterwheel Park 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

NEXT RALLY!! August 25th - 28th
“SUMMER NIGHTS” Rally Cowichan Exhibition Grounds
REMEMBERING THE 50’S AND 60’S
Our next and final rally for 2014 will be August 25th - 28th. In on the 25th (after 12 noon please)
and out on the 28th.
We will again be at the Cowichan Exhibition Grounds in Duncan. Stella and I will Host the event and will greatly appreciate any volunteers to assist with meal prep and clean-up.
The theme for this rally will be REMEMBERING THE 50’S AND 60’S. As my kids say, “The Good ol’ Days, right Dad”. There will be a theme dinner so bring your 50’s and 60’s attire. Judging and prizes for the best dressed will follow the dinner.
MEALS: August 25th: Pot Luck Dinner (club supplies meat)
August 26th and 27th: Breakfast and Dinner provided
August 28th: Continental Breakfast
Rally Costs: Couple - $120, additional person $30 – children under 12 free.
Single - $90

We got the feeling that people don't like too much organization during the
day, so decided to have bocce & horseshoes available.
There are chairlift rides up Mt. Washington - groups of 15 or more get a
discount & they need to know a week ahead of time, so by the 26th if we get
enough people.
There is a distillery at shelter point that offers tours for $10/pp for a
group of 30 or more.
